Sacred Meadow Circle Virtual Gathering Discussion Summary:

Thank you to those who were able to attend the Sacred Meadow Circle Virtual Gathering with the suggested topic of discussion: "Ancestors".

Bryan led a discussion on working with ancestors, covering methods such as creating ancestor altars, using divinatory tools for communication, and engaging in generational healing through journaling and ritual. Bryan shared personal experiences with sound resonance, including the use of a crystal water harp to enhance spiritual connections, and demonstrated how the resonance of certain vibrational tones can thin the veil between realms. The group discussed practical applications, such as using singing bowls or chimes for similar purposes, and Bryan encouraged attendees to explore these methods to deepen their connections with ancestors.

We discussed various ancestral connection rituals, including a "dumb dinner" where participants sit in silence to connect with ancestors and share food items that ancestors enjoyed. A participant suggested using relics of deceased loved ones on ancestor altars, categorizing them into first-degree (bodily remanence), second-degree (worn items or tools), and third-degree (photographs or associations) relics, and recommended placing altars in the West rather than the East, towards the setting sun rather than towards the rising sun. The discussion covered how to create energetic connections with ancestors through objects, food, and practices, with emphasizing that the connection itself is more important than the physical items used.

The group discussed various ways to connect with ancestors, including mediumship readings and using personal items. Bryan explained that ancestors can serve as guides for specific activities, protection during spiritual work, and enhancement of divinatory practices. He noted that the veil between worlds is thinnest during two times of year - fall (due to death and transition) and spring (due to new life emerging), making these periods optimal for ancestor connections.

Members discussed the practice of calling upon ancestors in magick and witchcraft, emphasizing the importance of connecting with practitioners' traditions and using specific names or objects associated with the ancestors. We explored and explained the concept of energy exchange with ancestors, highlighting the need for offerings or dedications in return for assistance. The conversation also touched on past lives and their impact on current practices, with Bryan sharing personal experiences of past life regression and redemption.

A Member shared his experience with past life regression therapy, revealing he had lived multiple lives, including being involved in residential schools and later suffering as an Indigenous person, which helped him understand Indigenous suffering and connect with Indigenous culture. The group discussed how adopted children can connect with both their birth and adoptive family ancestors, with a member providing examples from his adopted son and biological daughter. The conversation concluded with a discussion about religious tolerance, particularly focusing on how Wiccans and pagans are generally more accepting of different beliefs compared to some humanist groups, and how many Christian traditions, even though they have pagan origins.

The group discussed various spiritual topics including past life regression, astrology, and intuition. We decided to discuss tolerance in the craft at next week's meeting.
